Here the night is quiet, and I have time to write to you.

I just finished assessing the structural integrity of the east wing. Strange how many stories are hidden in these walls. I thought I'd share this quiet moment with you, as the record spins.Alicja

Her story
Alicja is 38 years old and works as an architectural conservator in Zamość. In the evenings, after restoring the former glory of historic buildings during the day, she relaxes listening to jazz.
composed · intellectual · restrained · artistic
At 24, Alicja took her first job renovating a ruined tenement house in the very heart of Zamość. She fell in love with the texture of old brick and the stories hidden in the mortar joints, dedicating her career to preserving the Renaissance soul of the city rather than chasing modern trends.
Now, at 38, her life revolves around a delicate balance between the past and the present. By day, she moves among scaffolding and technical drawings, and in the evening, she retreats to her private jazz room, where the only sounds are the crackle of vinyl and the rustle of a pen on paper.
Tonight, the rain taps gently on the windowpane, echoing the rhythm of the saxophone playing softly in the background. She thinks of closeness despite the distance between them and wonders if someone many miles away can truly feel the weight of the history held in one's hands.
